Earthen Oak Soy Candle

A woodsy blend of eucalyptus, soft lilac and violet floral notes combined with amber, musk, sandalwood and vanilla bring the outdoors home.

    Top notes: green, eucalyptus
    Middle notes: lilac, violet
Bottom notes: vanilla, sandalwood, musk, amber

All of our candles are made with 100% all-natural soy wax, hand-poured in small batches and blended with the maximum ratio of fully-concentrated fragrance oil (almost double the recommended amount), to make the best smelling, long burning candles. We use a hemp wick because hemp is more sustainable than cotton and burns hotter to improve the fragrance throw.

Each candle container is handcrafted from beer and wine bottles using a 4-step cold-working process to repurpose the bottles into usable, upcycled containers for our candles. We use a wet saw to hand-cut the glass, then we use the flat lapidary wheel to: grind away any imperfections or chipping, pre-polish the now smooth edge, and polish to add shine back onto the glass.

8 oz. beer bottle candles: Up to 60 hours
12 oz. wine bottle candles: Up to 120 hours

Our natural soy candles are au naturel: no artificial colors or dyes.

    • Always trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting. We recommend using a wick trimmer for candles in narrow containers, like our bottles.
    • Allow top of candle to pool entirely with each burn.
    • Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time. To maximize burn time, we recommend burning in 2-3 hour increments.
    • If the flame gets too tall it may cause cracks in the glass. Keep your wick trim.
    • Wick dippers are handy to extinguish the flame without any smoke and re-center the wick after each burn.

My wife & I are big fans of all the Lit Up candles we've purchased & that includes several such as Teakwood & Cardamom, Sweet Orange & Chilil, Frazier Fir, Lavender & a few others & these are all great. We're really surprised to be disappointed with the Earthen Oak candle. As it is part of the Lumberjack collection, it basically smells like baby powder & seems to only have eucalyptus, soft lilac & not at all the amber, musk & sandalwood scents in it.

Thank you for your feedback and for being a repeat customer. We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Earthen Oak as much as our other fragrances. While it's definitely a softer woody smell than our other Lumberjack collection scents, it's always been one of our top sellers. But, we also understand that everybody smells scents differently and not every scent is for everybody, so we do offer exchanges for un-burned candles. Please check your email so we can resolve this and get you something you'll like better.
Two Thumbs Up

Such a comforting scent to burn at the end of a long day when I just want to relax. It smells fresh and musky at the same time

My All Time Favorite

I've gone through and smelled every candle that Lit Up Illuminations has to offer and they are all fantastic, but Earthen Oak will always be my favorite. I have 3 just of this scent currently since I never want to be without one! I burn this scent almost daily in my home - it's so warm and comforting. Plus, as a beer lover, it's great decor to have in my home! Will be buying this again and again.

SO wonderful

This candle is sweet without smelling synthetic or overwhelming. It's incredibly home-y and comforting. This scent (as well as all the others I sniffed) smells natural and clean, giving off just the right amount of fragrance to transform the aura of a room. I purchased my first Lit Up Illuminations candle (in this scent) at a local festival and after lighting it at home, immediately looked into buying more online. Truly a quality product and local if your'e from the Atlanta area! 10 out of 10 would recommend. I'd buy one in every scent if getting a college degree wasn't so financially crippling. On the other hand, these candles are totally worth blowing your college tuition for.
