PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Do you love being green but don't have a green thumb: what if your plants watered themselves? Have a green thumb and just love cool planters? Introducing our NEW! Self-Watering Planter 100% handcrafted and upcycled from a wine bottle. After cutting the 750 ml bottle: we sand the cut edges, pre-polish the smoothed edges, then polish to add shine on the glass. Add planting accessories and voila: a self-watering planter!
HOW IT WORKS Using the string as a straw, the soil will sip from the water reservoir and the plant wet it's whistle as needed. Sip, sip, hooray!
STEP 1: Fill wine bottle base 3/4 with water, this cup is the water reservoir.
STEP 2: Bottoms up! Turn the bottle neck upside down: this is the pot. Place soil pad inside the bottle neck. Feed string tied through soil pad through bottle neck, gently pull it to hold soil pad in place. Add a little base soil.
STEP 3: While planting, feed top of string through soil. Add small plant, sprouts, or seeds. Add more soil, if needed. Water soil once.
STEP 4: Place inverted wine bottle neck with plant gently on top of wine bottle base with water, and carefully balance it. If needed, place a small crystal/gemstone/rock on top of the soil to help balance the weight of taller or asymmetrical plants.
STEP 5: Refill water in base as needed.
