Growing up, Stacey cared deeply about the environment and recycling from a young age. During that time, she was a dancer and choreographer, and music became an inseparable part of her life.
During college, Stacey began making candles. After moving to Atlanta, she added a sustainable twist—cutting bottles to create upcycled vessels. We upcycle beer bottles and wine bottles into handcrafted candle jars using a 4-step, cold working process:
1) using a wet tile saw, cut the neck off each bottle
2) using a flat lap, sand away imperfections
3) pre-polish the sanded edge
4) polish the smooth edge to add shine on the glass
We use 100% all-natural soy wax due to its many benefits:
• non-toxic & carcinogen free
• soot free & biodegradable
• made from soy beans, a renewable and sustainable resource
• lasts up to 50% longer than paraffin wax
We use lead-free hemp wicks because hemp is eco-friendly, much more sustainable than cotton, and it burns hotter which helps release the fragrance and improve scent throw.
Our organic fragrance oils are made with natural ingredients and essential oils: phthalate free, paraben free, vegan, cruelty free, and gluten free.

We absolutely love these candles from LitUp! We found you guys at a craft show in Philadelphias Christmas village and this is our second time ordering directly from your shop! I am a candle girl and love to have candles lit anytime I am at home! We love to host and every time we do I get at least one compliment from someone saying how great the house smells while I have these candles lit! The best part is they are made so clean and natural which makes me feel better about having them lit all the time!! :)
I was gifted a Knock on Wood candle for xmas. I had to order another right away. I came across Kashmir and took a shot. Well my second bottle arrived today and the candles were ordered this past weekend. I want my entire life to smell like Kashmir. It is clean but woody. Moody but sunny. It is all the things and I want to be in this mood forever. It is a must have.
I bought this candle the first time in Philly at a fall market downtown in 2022. If I get candles I only get them here. Great quality.

I cannot say enough about the Hazy Shade of Winter candle (and all other candles I’ve purchased from lit up for that matter)! It smells amazing and lasts so much longer than other candles I have. Customer service is also top notch. My last order was running a little late during the holiday rush (but not a huge amount) and I received a hand written note apologizing, plus a little extra treat included! Amazing small business all around!
