Lit Up Candle Co. was founded by two beer lovers with a candle-making problem on a mission to promote sustainability. Learn more about us and meet the founders.

We consciously craft the best home fragrance products with your complete experience in mind. Breathe easy knowing our products are crafted in small batches with natural, renewable, non-toxic ingredients. Feel good knowing we source sustainable and eco-friendly materials that are made and grown locally in the USA. UPCYCLED & RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

We use a 4-step, cold-working process to upcycle beer and wine bottles into handcrafted candle containers:

1) hand cut the bottle using a wet tile saw
2) sand away imperfections and chipping using a flat lap
3) pre-polish the sanded edge
4) polish the smooth edge to add shine on the glass

All our packaging is upcycled, reusable, and/or recyclable. Learn how to clean used candle jars and ways to repurpose used candle containers.

NATURAL & ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIALS
We use 100% all-natural soy wax due to its many benefits:

• non-toxic & carcinogen free
• soot free & biodegradable
• made from soy beans, a renewable and sustainable resource
• lasts up to 50% longer than paraffin wax

We use lead-free hemp wicks because hemp is eco-friendly, much more sustainable than cotton, and burns hotter which helps release the fragrance and improve scent throw.

ORGANIC FRAGRANCES
We work directly with our perfumer to develop our wide selection of exclusive, complex scents. All our fragrance oils are 100% organic, phthalate free, paraben free, gluten free, cruelty free, and vegan.

SUSTAINABLITY
In addition to using natural, eco-friendly materials to craft our sustainable products, Lit Up also makes every effort to reduce our carbon footprint. We work with local suppliers and only source materials grown and made in the USA: for example, the soy beans for our soy wax is grown by US famers. We use eco-friendly packing materials, such as biodegradable peanuts, and reduce waste by reusing any packing materials we acquire from purchasing materials. Although our local municipalities have stopped recycling glass, we sort all unused glass by color and periodically deliver it to our local recycling center along with everything else we can recycle.
